About Wine Courses Barcelona
Wine Courses Barcelona is a wine school based in Barcelona, offering WSET courses in the city and beyond. Working with both individuals and businesses, WCB also provides bespoke training and presentations for hotels, restaurants, bars, yacht crew, and wineries. The WCB team teach in English and Spanish, and all our educators are native speakers.

To date, WCB has trained over 1000 students from 56 nationalities with 100% of Level 3 passes achieving Merit or Distinction. The Team
Sharon Grundy, WCB Founder and Head Educator
Sharon is a WSET Certified Educator and Certified Sherry Educator who developed her passion for wine while working in fine dining in her native Scotland. She started her WSET journey in 2009 and, prior to her move to Barcelona, worked for Bibendum PLB in London. She founded Wine Courses Barcelona in 2015 with the aim of spreading her knowledge and love of wine to others. She completed the WSET Diploma in 2018.
“Wine and food are my passions in life, and I am extremely fortunate to work in an industry I love. I believe learning about wine should be fun, not stuffy, and it’s been a pleasure to transmit that ethos to students for over 10 years. I feel immensely proud of our work, and will always get a kick from seeing our students get excited about wine.”

Gabriela Di Nardo, Educator and Community Manager
Born in Venezuela and with Italian roots, Gaby started her career in tourism before finding her way into the world of wine. She earned her Sommelier Diploma from CETT in 2016 and went on to complete the WSET Diploma in 2021. Today, she’s a certified WSET educator, focused on helping others learn about wine in a clear and engaging way. Gaby has worked across retail and distribution, where she discovered her love for sharing wine with people from all over the world. Her experience in these areas shaped her hands-on, practical approach to teaching.
“For me, the best part about wine is not the wine itself but rather the culture and stories behind it. Learning about wine has given me much more than a professional career; it has also become my hobby. I feel lucky to be able to share this wonderful world with the students at Wine Courses Barcelona!”

Ricardo Herrera, Educator
Originally from Argentina, for almost 15 years Ricardo has garnered experience in many area of the wine business, including education, consultancy and sales. His sommelier experience includes Mirazur (3*) in Menton and Abac (3*) in Barcelona. He’s a certified sommelier, DipWSET and Stage 2 MW student. His current work includes his wine shop (La Central), being a global brand ambassador for Grupo Perelada and running WSET courses in Vietnam, Barcelona and Vilafranca del Penedès.
