Barcelona
Rooftop Bars

Published: 09/06/2026

The sun is shining and Barcelona is looking beautiful. But with all the hustle and bustle of the city, we think it’s important to have a few places up your sleeve where you can relax and unwind. Whether you’re a local here or just visiting, the rooftop bar is the perfect hangout spot for the summer months. All of our choices will serve you up a perfect cocktail, but sometimes a glass of wine is what’s required. Here are our top five rooftop bars for stunning views, great atmosphere, and wine list gems too. Enjoy!

Pg. de Gràcia, 75, Eixample, 08008 Barcelona. Opening hours: 12pm- 12am, every day

Just as you’d expect from the hotel housing Martin Berasategui’s 3 Michelin Star Lasarte restaurant, they take food and drink pretty seriously. Head chef Gabriele Milani serves up fresh and tasty Mediterranean cuisine if you’re peckish, or you can dive straight into the drinks menu. Cocktails are a specialty (we love the Passoa Extasis), and the wine list is full of gems.

Wine highlights: Penedès rosé from Born Rosé; Haus Klosterberg Mosel Riesling from Markus Molitor.

Carrer del Rosselló, 265, Eixample, 08008 Barcelona. Opening hours: Monday to Wednesday: 11:30 to 21:00; Thursday to Sunday: 11:30 to 23:00

The Rooftop at Sir Victor is a great spot to rest your feet after an afternoon pounding the pavements of Eixample. Alcohol-free options here are particularly strong, with homemade lemonades, mocktails and smoothies all on offer. However, with Gonet-Médeville 1er Cru Cuvée Tradition available by the glass, we could probably be tempted by Champagne. It’s hard work shopping in the sunshine!

Wine highlights: Champagne (see above!) or Torelló Brut Reserva by the glass; Menade Verdejo.

La Rambla, 109, Ciutat Vella, 08002 Barcelona. Opening hours: 12pm- 12am, every day

High above the madness and noise of the Rambla, the Terraza La Isabela is a little oasis of calm. Amazing views, superb service and a great drinks list. What more could we wish for? All the classic cocktails are available, including a killer Espresso Martini if you’re looking for a pick-me-up. The wine list is short but sweet, and features one of our favourite Montsant/Priorat producers.

Wine highlights: Alfredo Arribas Luno Tinto from Montsant; three Cavas by the glass to choose from.

Passeig de Picasso, 26, 30, Ciutat Vella, 08003 Barcelona. Opening hours: non-hotel guests welcome from 5pm–9pm with reservation.

A stunning design hotel overlooking Ciutadella Park, the Borneta is one of the most exciting recent additions to the city’s hotel scene. Even if you’re a local, you’ll feel like you’re on holiday here, with its relaxed atmosphere, stunning views, and a creative drinks list that includes an unmissable Mediterranean Negroni. Just four wines on the list but all great choices, and all available by the glass.

Wine highlights: Veuve Clicquot Champagne, please. We’re on holiday, aren’t we?

Via Laietana, 30, Ciutat Vella, 08003 Barcelona. Opening hours: 1pm to 8pm, every day

Panoramic views of Barcelona, above one of its busiest streets, La Terraza del Central gets our vote for the prettiest of rooftop bars in the city. Perfectly located if you’re looking for a glass of something delicious after a day of sightseeing, shopping, or working hard. And if you’ve worked up an appetite, tapas classics on the food menu are joined by middle Eastern touches like hummus, halloumi and falafel.

Wine highlights: Juvé & Camps Essential Brut Rosé by the glass; Alonso & Pedrajo Suañé Reserva Blanco by the bottle.

Are you ready to hit the rooftop? We love the sense of occasion these spots bring to a get-together, while also being ideal spaces to chill out and relax. And while a cocktail might be the go-to for a rooftop bar, we encourage you to check out the wine list and explore the more vinous options available. We know we’re ready for a sundowner and we hope you are too. See you there!
