What is the
WCB Tasting Club?
Published: 30/03/2026
With more than 1,000 students having passed through our classrooms, we needed a good excuse to keep in touch and stay connected. And, to be honest, we also needed a reason to keep opening bottles together.
That’s how the WCB Tasting Club was born. Not as just another course or a one-off event, but as a space you can join regularly. A place where wine is the perfect excuse to learn—but also to meet up, switch off for a while, and reconnect with classmates and other people who share this passion.
How does the WCB Tasting Club work?
The idea is very simple: we meet once a month, and each session has a different focus. Sometimes we take a more technical approach, with tastings based on the WSET Level 3 SAT, for those who want to keep deepening their knowledge and refining their tasting structure. Other times, we host more casual events—theme-based tastings designed to be relaxed and enjoyable.
We’ll explore classic styles like Bordeaux wines, grape varieties such as Pinot Noir or Chardonnay, as well as lesser-known regions and wines that deserve much more attention—like those from our most recent tasting, where we discovered fascinating styles from Portugal.
We’ll also organize special tastings throughout the year, including our now essential event during Sherry Week, where we enjoy the greatness of these wines—and always end up extending the conversation longer than expected.
Beyond the tasting…
Each session includes a guided tasting and special wines, but also something we consider the most important: time to talk about the wines without rushing. No exams, no pressure.
A little extra for regulars…
We’ve created a small incentive for the most loyal members of the WCB Tasting Club: when joining, everyone receives a loyalty card, and for every five tastings attended, the next one is completely free. You don’t need to have taken a course with us to participate—just an interest in wine and a desire to share a good time together.
How to join the club?
If you’d like to join the WCB Tasting Club and stay up to date with all our tastings, send us an email at gabriela@winecoursesbcn.com.
Ultimately, the goal of this club is to stay connected with our wonderful students, see how our courses have helped them grow professionally, and hear all their stories, projects, and adventures in the world of wine.
