Online courses: how do they work?
Wine Courses Barcelona offers students who cannot attend classroom courses the option to study online with WSET London. While your educator will be based there, bookings will be made and exams taken with Wine Courses Barcelona. From the start date of the course, students will have one year of access to the online classroom and a set number of weeks of educator support from their educator. The online platform is designed and administered by the Wine and Spirits Education Trust, and will clearly guide you through modules, activities and feedback exercises. You will also have one year in which to complete your exam. The exam will be taken in person at our central Barcelona location. Course details can be found below, with further information on the WSET on this page. Please see FAQs below, or contact us if you have any concerns or questions.
For Level 1 courses, no physical study pack will be issued. All information will be contained in the online classroom. For Level 2 and 3 study packs, courier costs to any Spanish mainland address are included in the price above. For delivery outside of mainland Spain, please contact us for a quote.
All courses include tasting modules, along with a list of recommended samples. You will be provided feedback on your tasting notes by your course educator. Samples can be purchased independently or as sample packs from Vinovae.
Online courses are taught in English. Study materials and exams will also be provided in English.
There will be a minimum of 3 available exam dates for each level, which will take place throughout the year. You will be notified of these dates with a minimum 2 months notice and asked to confirm your attendance by the registration deadline. Exams will take place at Hotel Aranea with an invigilator of Wine Courses Barcelona. All students must attend an exam in person, in order to pass the qualification.
